Dear Friends,
I’m excited to share some important news. Faith’s Lodge and The BeliEve Foundation are coming together to serve even more grieving families. After many thoughtful conversations and a shared commitment to walking alongside parents in loss, we are forming a new organization: the Child Loss Foundation.
For years, Faith’s Lodge has been a place of refuge and connection, offering retreats for families navigating life after the loss of a child. Our Hope Works Here service guided parents as they re-enter their professional lives with support and understanding. Meanwhile, The BeliEve Foundation provided immediate financial relief to Minnesota families in the earliest days of loss, gifting a lifeline during the most unimaginable moments.
This merger is not about changing what we do - it’s about expanding it.
The financial support offered through the Child Loss BeliEve Fund (formerly The BeliEve Foundation) will continue to serve qualifying Minnesota families, helping to lift immediate burdens like funeral costs, hospital bills, and lost wages. This support carries forward the heartfelt legacy of Eve Gassen, offering urgent help when families need it most and guiding them toward connection and resources for the road ahead.
Our employer-sponsored benefit, Child Loss @ Work (formerly Hope Works Here), shows how powerful it can be when employers are equipped to support grieving employees — not just with compassion, but with tangible tools and expert guidance. Offering one-to-one coaching and best practices to help parents return to work while navigating grief. This service is an opportunity for employers build more compassionate, resilient workplaces in the process.
The Child Loss Retreat experience will remain a special place of connection for grieving parents to find others who understand their loss. The lodge in Danbury, WI will continue to be called Faith’s Lodge; a name that carries a legacy of love, memory, and meaning for so many. We also hope to expand our retreat offerings across the country, and this new chapter is a step in that direction.
A parent’s grief journey doesn’t stay in one lane; it touches their home, their finances, their relationships, and their work. Our goal is to meet them in all those places, with empathy, resources, and the understanding that only comes from lived experience.
To our friends, donors, retreat alumni, and extended community: thank you. Your support, trust, and love have brought us to this moment. We know change can feel uncertain, especially when you care deeply but please know that we carry forward everything that made both Faith’s Lodge and The BeliEve Foundation so special.
Together, we can make sure no parent has to navigate the pain of child loss alone.
Warmly,

Kelly McDyre
